Canadian named to Trek World team

Rising Canadian mountain bike star Emily Batty will race for the global Trek World Racing team this season. She competed for Trek Store Toronto the past two seasons, but her results, including a Top 10 in the Offenburg World Cup in 2009, caught the attention of the top-tier squad. The 21-year-old will have a busy 2010 schedule racing the World Cup circuit, Canada Cups, a few American and other international races and the World Championships, being held at Mont-Ste-Anne in September. The other cross-country racers on the Trek World Racing team are Swiss brothers Mathias and Lukas Flueckiger.
