And across Canada, cyclists have very fittingly chosen their wheels as ways to celebrate.

Vancouver, nestled against the Pacific, may be one of the places that the sun graces Canadian soil during the day, but that just highlights the sincerity with which the day—and the year—is appreciated by B.C. cyclists. In true West Coast fashion, riders in Vancouver take to the streets, lanes and paths, as well as the trails, to mark the new year in two-wheeling celebration, propelling the New Year’s momentum with their own.
