On July 29, 2013, Michael Sullivan of Hamilton was intentionally hit by the driver a black Ford F-150 pickup truck. On Oct. 19, Sullivan, 51, finally succumbed to his injuries after life support was taken away. Sullivan had been in a coma after what was his second bicycle related accident in three years. In 2010, Sullivan had become partially disabled when he was hit by a car that ran a stop sign.

To date, the assailant in the F-150 has not been found. There has been little information for the authorities to further their investigation. Sullivan’s relatives—his mother, wife and two children—are all pleading for someone to come forward who may have information. They’re adamant that someone can help authorities. Police have indicated that Sullivan is innocent. There was misinformation fed to the driver of a black Ford F-150 pickup truck, who pursued Sullivan and ultimately hit him.

Micheal Sullivan was known for his philanthropy. In his spare time, he was often building and repairing old bicycles to be sent to Cuba and other underprivileged places. He also fixed old computers and donated them to local children whose parents couldn’t afford to them.

If anyone has any information, they are urged to contact Detective Paul Staats at 905-546-2920.
