Garrigan wins elite men’s Kutztown Cross

On Sunday, Mike Garrigan (Van Dessel Factory Team) won the Kutztown Cross race in Pennsylvania. The race was the eighth stop in the Fuji Bikes MAC Series presented by SRAM cross series. Garrigan finished ahead of Cameron Scott (Scott Racing) and teammate Edwin Bull.

Despite the rather large $1,200 purse, the elite men’s field was somewhat small. Nonetheless, the race’s strongmen emerged and it was three-man battle in the end. With the course that was pancake flat, right from the beginning, the pace was fast. The parcours were made technical with countless twists and turns that forced riders to be attentive and sharp the entire race. A lapse in focus quickly resulted in crashes.
