Geoff Kabush signs with Scott-3Rox, joins a contingent of Canadians

Eyes on the Olympics

Scott Sports has announced the launch of a new cross-country mountain bike racing team with Canadian Geoff Kabush as its marquee rider. The Scott-3Rox Racing team also includes Canucks Derek Zandstra, Amanda Sin and Mikaela Kofman.

Two time Olympian, six time Canadian champion and 2009 World Cup winner, Kabush was one among many riders cast adrift when Rocky Mountain-Maxxis folded earlier this autumn. The notably-sideburned rider states, “I have everything I need for success in place now, and I’m really looking forward to concentrating on preparing for the 2012 race season with Scott-3Rox.”

Scott Sports, well known for its road and mountain bikes, has the UCI World Cup series and select North American races in its sights and wants to prepare its riders, namely Kabush, for the 2012 London Olympics. The squad will ride Scott Spark and Scale machines.

Previously its own team, 3Rox Racing was born in Ontario and rode Scott bikes.
