Kabush continues to roll

Wins Fat Tire Criterium and Whiskey 50 in Arizona

Lushly-sideburned Canadian Geoff Kabush (Scott-3Rox Racing) continued his great form in the U.S. by winning two races at the Whiskey Off Road weekend in Prescott, Arizona.

Kabush attacked on the final lap of last Friday’s Fat Tire Criterium to hit the line first. Riders had the option of riding the pavement on 1.5-inch tires, but Kabush kept on his full-sized Maxxis Lites. On Sunday he prevailed in the grueling Whiskey 50 cross-country race.

Early in March, Kabush came runner up at the Mellow Johnny’s Classic in Texas before taking the win in last month’s Sea Otter long course and finishing third in the short course.

Kabush is also climbing up the UCI World Cup ladder. A placing of 37th in the first Pietermaritzburg race in South Africa became an 11th place last month in Houffalize, Belgium. Next up on the World Cup calendar are races in Nove Mesta Na Morave, the Czech Republic from May 11-13.
