Lacombe 11th in Sarthe finale

Keven Lacombe capped off the Circuit Cycliste de la Sarthe with an 11th place in the 166-km final stage Friday.

The SpiderTech p/b C10 rider finished just a few bike lengths behind Team Leopard Trek’s Daniele Bennati — who won three out of the event’s five stages. The stage, from Le Mans to Bonnetable, finished in a bunch sprint despite a big effort from Europcar’s Thomas Voeckler on the rolling finishing circuit.

Anthony Roux of Francaise des Jeux won the overall. The top SpiderTech rider was Will Routley in 37th.

Next up for the SpiderTech team is Paris-Camembert on April 12.
