Lex Albrecht extends with Team TIBCO-SVB
Canadian Tour of the Gila stage winner back for 2018
Canadian Lex Albrecht has re-signed with Team TIBCO-SVB after one year with the American squad. Albrecht joined TIBCO after spells with Italian team BePink in 2016 and Optum in 2015. Albrecht claimed a stage of the Tour of the Gila and the Lott Thüringen Ladies Tour in her first year with TIBCO.

Albrecht raced two one-day races and one stage race in the 2017 World Tour. She was top Canadian in the Tour of California at 11th on GC. Last season with BePink she was seventh overall in La Route de France after coming runner-up on Stage 6. Albrecht has represented Canada four times in the elite women’s World Championship road race.
She recently showed off her kitchen pain cave (and extensive coffee-making collection) on Twitter.

For 2018 TIBCO has brought in Brit Alice Cobb and American Emily Newsom. The squad boasted two national champions in its 2017 lineup: Mexican Ingrid Drexel is both road and time trial champ while Nicolle Bruderer holds the Guatemalan road title.
