Liv say the Hail is the indutry’s first 160mm travel all-mountain and enduro racing bikes made specifically for women. The suspension reaches 160mm travel in both the Advanced Composite and the ALUXX Aluminum frame options. Giant’s Maestro suspension give the bike 160 mm of travel and uses a floating pivot point for smooth pedaling. The Trunnion shock mount is used on the Hail to lower the rider’s center of gravity and shorten the chainstay for improved handling in technical features such as rock gardens.

Though the bike is built to descent, the Advanced model of the Hail is given a upper rocker arm that uses multi-directional carbon layup for strength and lightness. Liv have also put in research and product testing to creat a bike that fits the body dimensions of female athletes. The bike is also given wide clearance for greater tire and rim selection.

The top end Hail Advanced 0 is given a short stem, wide handlebars, wide tires, the 130-160 mm RockShox Lyric RCT3 fork up front, the 160 mm RockShox Deluxe RC3 shock in the back, the SRAM X01 Eagle 1X12 drivetrain for a top performing enduro bike.

World champion downhiller, Liv ambassador and mountain bike coach, Leigh Donovan said, “As a woman, bike brands have historically offered us models that often times were not capable of doing it all and that is where the Hail comes in: finally, a bike—in my opinion—that gives me the flexibility to take an easy ride with my parents and 10-year-old daughter, ride my local cross country trails or shred black diamond downhill trails in some of my favorite spots in the world,” said Donovan.
