Tour de Beauce ended on Sunday in dramatic style, with Stage 5 going down in St. Georges. The tough and technical 122-km circuit race would take a toll on the tired legs of the peloton, with the peloton shattering early. Over the past 10 editions of the race, six have had the leadership change in the final stage. So it was clear that Team Ecoflo Chronos was not going to let Luke Valenti’s lead slip away. The Ontario rider would bridge up to the break of the day, where he would have help from earlier leader Matisse Julien.

Ultimately, Tyler Stites (Project Echelon Racing) took the win over Laurent Gervais (Cannondale Echelon p/b 4iiii) and Matteo Dal-Cin (Toronto Hustle).

Valenti would finish in fifth and cinch the win, as well as the young rider’s jersey. Stites takes the points, Erik Inkster takes the KOM competition, with Ecoflo Chronos coming in as the best team.
