Martin Gilbert Wins Twice in Uruguay

Martin Gilbert of Team SpiderTech p/b Planet Energy took his second win on Sunday at the Vuelta Ciclista del Uruguay. In this final stage of this UCI 2.2 race, Gilbert outsprinted Brasilian Roberto Pinheiro (Funvic) and Uruguayan Ignacio Maldonado (Fenix). Gilbert’s first win of this 10 day stage race happened on Friday, when he took the final sprint in the 170 kilometer stage. Earlier in the season, Gilbert, 27, won two stages at Vuelta a Cuba.
