Canada’s Matisse Julien (Team Ecoflo Chronos) rode well in fourth and final stage of the Ronde de l’Oise, ultimately losing his leader’s jersey but still finishing on the podium. Stage 4 was a tough, 158.9 km race from Breuil-le-Sec to Liancourt, with 1516 m of elevation.

Dutchman Frank van den Broek (ABLOC CT) took the stage, 27 seconds ahead of Alexis Gougeard (VC Rouen 76) and Thomas Gachignard (St Michel – Mavic – Auber93). Matisse finished in the chase group, 48 seconds behind, enough to lose his lead.

The 2.2 Ronde de l’Oise is a well-known race in France, with many previous winners having gone on to big things, including Dane Magnus Cort, who has won stages in all three Grand Tours.
