Michael Barry stays with Team Sky

One of Canada’s top cyclists Michael Barry has confirmed that he will remain with Team Sky for next season.

The announcement comes on the heels of Mark Cavendish joining the team this week.

“I’ve enjoyed being a part of the development and growth of the team in the last two years and am looking forward to another season with Team Sky,” Barry said in a release. “To me, the environment is ideal: the team is well organized, the management is solid, the staff is committed and we have a great ambiance amongst the riders.”

Barry wasn’t on Team Sky’s squad for the 2011 Tour de France, but he did ride in the event in 2010.

Juan Antonio Flecha and Christian Knees have also confirmed that they are re-signing with Team Sky.
