News from the U23 Canadian Team

Keir Place sent along a short update on the U23 team's racing in Belgium.

Tomorrow is a special day, the beloften Ronde Van Vlaanderen, probably the most important bike race so far in our young cycling careers. This past Wednesday we did a reconnaissance ride to familiarize ourselves with the parcours.

Dominique Rollin joined us to share his experience of the key points and lend us any expertise that might benefit us on Saturday.

It promises to be one heck of a bike race. The course is relentless and the final circuits vicious. We will take in many of the climbs and kassein (cobbles) that the professionals race over, each coming one after the other with few moments of relief. We are ready to fight together and excited to represent Canada on such a stage.

Stay tuned for race reports from the U23 European Spring camp.

The U23 riders representing Canada this spring are:

Keir Plaice (ON)
Antoine Duchesne (QC)
Michael Joanisse (QC)
Owen Harrison (BC)
Spencer Smitheman (AB)
Jamie Riggs (ON)
