More than 20 riders flat after someone put tacks all over road at Tour de France

The Tour de France is stressful enough with crashes and mechanicals, but some dimwit decided to make it even worse by putting tacks all over the road.

Lilian Calmejane shared a video of his tire that was embedded with tacks once he completed the race.

“Thank you for this kind of human bullshit,” his caption read. “I don’t think I was the only victim of a puncture in the finale. You should know that you can fall and get hurt very badly with your bullshit, you stupid person,”

The Intermarché–Circus–Wanty rider wasn’t the only victim of the tack traps.

“Someone sprayed some tacks on the road because we saw 15-20 punctures,” Matt White from Jayco AlUla said. “Some punctured immediately and some rode through with a slow leak. It’s a shame. We’re lucky that Simon Yates didn’t puncture, but there were a lot of guys puncturing at an important time in the race.”
