Run on the trails in the Lost Lake complex, adjacent to the Whistler Village, the racers enjoyed dry conditions.
Second place on the men’s podium belonged to Max Plaxton, while Spencer Paxon finished third. 2013 Canadian champion Derek Zandstra finished fourth.
Sandra Walter took second in the women’s race, followed by Jean Ann Berkenpas. Canadian champion emily Batty did not race owing to a team commitment elsewhere. Walter’s result was enough to clinch the Canada Cup title, with a total of 775 points.
