“Being outside can inspire all of us,” said Goran. “Whether your passion is cycling, walking, swimming or bird-watching, experiencing our natural world is an incredible opportunity as well as a gift. Together, Canadians can protect this gift from the threats of invasive species.”

Goran was joined by Dilhari Fernando, Executive Director of the Canadian Wildlife Federation, who spoke the the importance of the cause, and recognized the knowledge base already in place in Sault Ste. Marie.

“The Sault is a centre of expertise in invasive species prevention, detection and response,” explained Ms. Fernando, “We want to share this exciting work with the Canadian Wildlife Federation, who are so successful at rallying Canadians to appreciate our natural heritage and our precious wildlife.”

Goran will continue to ride all the way to Halifax, stopping along the way to share her stories and insights from the journey.
