Professional mountain bike team Scott-3Rox Racing announced new sponsors joining the team for the 2014 season.

Kijiji.ca, a classifieds website has joined the team, along with Park Tools and WD40.

The Kijiji offer brings with it greater general support for the team, while Park Tools and WD40 will ensure the team’s equipment runs smoothly all year long.

“Every year the Scott-3Rox Racing team has been stepping it up with support from our family of great sponsors,” said racer Geoff Kabush in a team statement. “Everyone on the team has been working hard, dedicated to the challenges ahead, and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve this year.”

The team continues to receive support for Scott Sports, Shimano, Maxxis, Fox, Syncros, Stages Cycling, Swagman, Oakley and Eload.

The Scott-3Rox team also achieved the goal of earning elite UCI mountain bike team status for the 2014 season.

“It is a pretty cool stepping stone for the team. In the beginning, we were a bike shop race/club and now we are recognized as one of the top teams in the world,” said team manger Kyle Douglas. “There always has been the goal of gaining this status and to be able to get there is a huge accomplishment that the riders worked really hard on in the 2013 season.”

The team’s season is already underway, having raced the Mellow Johnny’s Classic in Texas this past weekend.

Kabush finished second, while teammate and 2013 Canadian champion Derek Zandstra finished fifth. Amanda Sin and Mikaela Koffman skipped the race to continue training for the start of their season, in San Dimas, Calif., later this month.
