Smith, Kintner fastest on Fox Air DH
Less than a week after winning the Mont Sainte Anne World Cup downhill, Steve Smith flew through the Fox Air Downhill as part of Crankworx Whistler. Smith repeated his 2012 victory, crossing the finish on his Devinci in a time of four minutes, 12.08 seconds.

Australian Mick Hannah finished second, 1.77 seconds back from Smith, while Swiss racer Nick Beer finished third. Whistler local and fellow Devinci rider Ian Morrison was the second-fastest Canadian, finishing 12th overall. American Jill Kintner won the pro women’s class, with a time of 4:34.48, nearly five seconds ahead of runner up Emmeline Ragot of France. Floriane Pugin of France finished third, ten seconds back from Kintner.

Canadians Claire Buchar and Casey Brown finished fourth and fifth respectivelty. Buchar was just 0.07 seconds back from third place.
The course for the race runs down the infamous A Line trail, full of jumps and berms from top to bottom.
