Snow Day at Paris-Nice

Canadians do well today at Paris-Nice battling the mountains and snow.

Cold, snow and climbing were the themes today at the fourth stage of Paris-Nice. In the end Alberto Contador (Astana) came out on top winning the stage and taking the yellow jersey.

The three Canadians racing in Paris-Nice all survived this challenging stage, with Christian Meier (Garmin-Transitions) in 95th, Svein Tuft (Garmin-Transitions) in 115th, and Dominique Rollin (Cervelo Test Team) in 132nd position.

Meier posted the following on his Twitter account about today’s stage, “A true Paris-Nice day today, cold, snow on the climbs and hard racing, now a 3.5h transfer.”
