Svein Tuft narrowly misses win in Tour de Beauce individual time trial
Romanian Serghei Tvetcov moves into the race lead as Silber's Adam Roberge moves to second overall
Only one man could beat 10-time Canadian time trial champion Svein Tuft (Team Canada) in the 19-km test against the clock on Stage 3a of the Tour de Beauce. Serghei Tvetcov (UnitedHealthcare) won in a time of 23 minutes 50 seconds, 21 seconds ahead of Tuft who finished second.

With the victory, Tvetcov moved into the race lead. Adam Roberge (Silber Pro Cycling) finished third a further second behind Tuft and moved into second place taking the red jersey as the leader of the young riders classification. Jack Burke conceded time to finish 12th but held on to third place in the general classification.
Rob Britton (Rally Cycling) finished the ITT in fourth and moved into the same position in the general classification putting him within striking distance of the podium.
