Take on Canadian BMX racer Cory Walsh at Joyride 150

The Toronto 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games are inviting riders to come to Joyride 150 indoor bike park to see how they stack up against a pro. Canadian national team member Cory Walsh will set the time to beat on the Joyride 150 pump track and then step aside to let any interested riders race to set their own best times.

To help make things feel official, Joyride 150 will set up a BMX supercross-style start ramp for everyone to try out. Although the ramp will be mounted at the entry to the pump track, a marker will be put in place to show the full height of a UCI supercross start ramp—8 m of vertical.

The event is meant to help generate interest in the coming Toronto 2015 competition and celebrate the new supercross track being built in Etobicoke for the games. While the track was initially going to be temporary, plans changed and the venue will stay on long after the games.

The Joyride 150 event is slated for 2-4 pm on January 10, 2015. Regular admission does apply, but visitors are welcome to stay and ride after the event finishes.
