The absolute worst thing to happen en route to the team bus after a Tour de France stage
Carlos Rodriguez had a lousy end to the day
Photo by: @robert_marceProfessional bike racing is hard, but as Ineos-Grenadiers rider Carlos Rodriguez found out, sometimes the pain keeps going even when the stage is done.
After a very difficult Stage 5, a 165-km ride from Pau to Laruns, the Spanish rider–who sits 9th overall–just wanted to relax and get ready for the next day. Unfortunately, a sound mixer backed right into Rodriguez, knocking him down. It was clearly an accident in the chaos of the post-race madness, but the 22-year-old was not impressed. He didn’t look hurt, thankfully, just understandably upset.

Stage 6 continues on Thursday, with another difficult stage from Tarbes to Cauterets-Cambasque, including the dreaded Col du Tourmalet climb. Let’s hope there are no errant booms around.
