You know you’ve got fans back home when the ruler of your country is watching you, cheering you on. That’s exactly what happened on Saturday during the final time trial.

In an Instagram post, you can see Queen Margrethe, as well as Princess Benedikte and Queen Anne-Marie of Greece, watching the Jumbo-Visma rider as he went on to finish second on the day, but kept the yellow jersey.

You’re probably saying Jonas Vingegaard’s name wrong

“Jonas Vingegaard’s time trial start was followed with excitement at Graasten Castle, where Her Majesty the Queen, Her Royal Highness Princess Benedikte and Her Majesty Queen Anne-Marie are staying,” the psot reads.

Queen Margrethe’s son, Crown Prince Frederik went to Paris on Sunday to be on the sidelines when Jonas Vingegaard raced to the finish line in the yellow jersey at the last stage of this year’s Tour de France.
