After a great stage 3 for Canadians in the morning on Thursday, things kept going well for the second stage with Gavin Halfield (Canada) taking third. Carson Mattern also took third earlier in the day in the 10 km time trial, with 6 other Canadians placing in the top-1o.

The second stage of the day was a 57.4 km circuit race in Malartic. Quebec. Hadfield broke away solo and had 10 seconds on the bunch with 5 km to go. He was just caught at the line by the sprinters, but managed to stay on the podium. It was another impressive day for Canada, with Marc Sato (Cycling BC) coming in fifth, Charles Bergeron (Toronto Hustle) in eighth, and Julien Boule in tenth. Toronto Hustle’s Luke Valenti continues to wear the climbers jersey as well.
