Vancouver-based team Trek Red Truck Racing has announced their roster for the 2019 season. The team is celebrating their 25th anniversary after a season in which they had strong showings throughout the season especially on the B.C. race circuit. The addition of talented junior sprinter Riley Pickrell highlights the announcement with a good mix of returning riders and new young riders joining the program for the coming season.

The men’s team has been bolstered by the addition of junior sprinter Riley Pickrell, former H&R Block rider Oliver Evans and climber Alex Fraser Maraun. Pickrell comes to the team after winning three stages at the 2018 Tour de l’Abitibi, the junior crit championships and represented Canada at the UCI junior track world championships in Switzerland. Evans raced with H&R Block for two seasons but an injury derailed his 2018 season.

The women’s team is strengthened by the additions of junior track athlete Van Dam who also raced junior track worlds in Switzerland and American Jasmine Soh who represented the U.S. at the junior road world championships in the ITT and road race. Brenna Pauly steps up from the Triple Shot Cycling youth development team.

Returning riders on the women side are Holly Simonson who won the elite crit title at provincials and Callie Swan finished in the top-20 at the GP Gatineau and nationals. On the men’s side, elite crit champion Al Murison returns along with U23 provincial crit champ Chris McCleod. Also staying with the team are veteran riders Brendan Armstrong, Clarke Lind and Kyle Buckosky.
