Tuft and Meier Racing at Yaletown Grand Prix

Garmin-Transitions riders Svein Tuft and Christian Meier racing at the Yaletown Grand Prix.

Svein Tuft and Christian Meier, team mates on the Garmin-Transition professional squad are scheduled to race the Yaletown Grand Prix. This Canada Day race features a technical and exciting 900-metre, 6-corner course for over an hour of high-speed racing past the loading bays and patios of Vancouver’s best-known neighbourhood.

Tuft recently raced the Giro d’Italia and Meier is building on some fine form recently racing the Criterium du Daphine. Meier is the 2008 Canadian National Road Champion and Tuft was a silver medalist at the 2009 World Time Trial Championships. Both riders are thrilled to be racing this fast charging race in their home province.

Once again the Union Securities Yaletown Grand Prix is part of the BC Cup Road series that offers the best riders in BC an important developmental racing opportunity.
