Vancouver making winter biking easier

The City of Vancouver is making life easier on cyclists this winter by plowing and salting some of the main bike routes. The game plan is to spray the most heavily used of the city’s 28 bike routes and bike lanes with a salt brine to make road surfaces less slippery. The city will clear snow on major cross-city bike routes, including the Adanac and 10th Avenue routes in east Vancouver, if enough snow stays on the ground.
