Watch: Thieves make off with $150,000 in Bianchi bikes in three minutes

Security footage shows the thieves snatching as many as five bikes at a time

Security footage out of a bike shop in the Netherlands shows thieves making off with countless high-end Bianchi bicycles. The theft of the De Tweewieler Vught en Udenhout bike shop took place on Jan. 23 at 3:38 am in the morning.

The amazing footage was posted on Bianchi Benelux Facebook page. The thieves allegedly stole over €100,000 ($153,000) of Bianchi bikes in the brief heist that merely lasted three minutes. The security footage shows three thieves entering the store and grabbing as many bikes they can possibly carry before making their way out of the store. They make several trips grabbing as many as five bikes at a time.

The men who were dressed head-to-toe in black wearing balaclavas made off with high-end road and mountain bikes. Amoung the bikes stolen were Bianchi models such as the Oltre XR3, Oltre XR4, Aria, Infinito CV, Methanol, Impulso, and an E-Road. The bikes ranged in colour with many being the Italian manufacturer’s trademark Celeste colourway.

Udenhout is a village in North Brabant. Local police have been unable to track down the culprits and are pleading for any information regarding the theft. The Dutch police can be reached locally at 0900-8844 and from abroad at +31 343 57 8844.
