Kona-Kup BC provincial cyclocross championships

Cycling BCOn Thanksgiving Monday, Bowen Park in Nanaimo, BC will host the Kona-Kup BC Provincial cyclocross championships.

The course is set to be one that is challenging, both technically and physically. Riders will have an opportunity to pre-ride the course as there are times available on Sunday. The course will not be open on Monday for pre-riding as there will be several categories racing throughout the day. Ferry service has also been set up to allow racers to get to and from Vancouver Island with relative ease.

The BC provincial cross championships will not be a Cross on the Rock event, which means that riders who are registered for that series are not automatically registered for Monday’s championships. The race is pre-registration only and there will be a race for all UCI categories listed below. Additionally cyclists without a UCI license can race with a Day-of-Race license for an extra fee.

  • Junior Women (U19) – Championship
  • Masters Women (35-44) – Championship
  • Masters Women (45+) – Championship
  • Masters Men (55+) – Championship

  • Masters Men (45-54) – Championship
  • Elite Men – Championship
  • Elite Women – Championship
