La Bicicletta gran fondo

The sixth annual La Bicicletta gran fondo will be hosted by Endras BMW in Ajax, Ont. on Sept. 29. This year, the ride will feature two routes, the medio fondo of 80 km and the gran fondo, which is 120 km. One of Ontario’s top elite race teams, Jet Fuel-Norco, will marshal the ride. Both routes will be fully supported and will include rest stops and follow cars.

Registrants will receive a custom Hincapie jersey and matching socks. More items will be announced later this week. Pusateri’s Fine Foods will cater before and after the ride with a pre-ride breakfast and post-ride lunch at Endras BMW. There will be raffle prizes and auctions that will serve as fundraiser for Right to Play, an international charity that uses sport and play to empower children and youth in underprivileged communities worldwide.

The ride will be an engaging day for cyclists of all abilities. Because it is fully supported, no one will be left struggling. Everyone is welcome as it is a celebration of the growing cycling culture in Ontario and Canada. More information can be found at La Bicicletta.
