Garmin-Sharp’s Rohan Dennis, the winner of the 2013 Tour of Alberta.

Garmin-Sharp rider Rohan Dennis, who won the inaugural Tour of Alberta in 2013, will make an appearance at La Bicicletta bike shop in Toronto on May 24.

The visit coincides with the launch of the POC shop-in-shop experience by POC Sports. POC, a Sweden-based company, sponsors the helmets for Dennis’s team. His teammate, Ryder Hesjedal, famously sports POC sunglasses. The company also makes clothes for cycling performance and safety.

Dennis, whose palmares also include two Australian national time trial championships (2010 and 2012), one Australian road race championship (2012), best young rider at the 2013 Critérium du Dauphiné and second place at the world under-23 time trial championships in 2012. He will only be spending one day in Toronto as he travels from the Tour of California to Europe for the Critérium du Dauphiné. He will speak roughly 30 minutes on what it takes to make it as a pro. This talk will be geared toward young cyclists. Following the talk, Dennis will be available to chat. Light appetizers and drinks will be served.
