The fifth annual Tour de Hans to ride out of Cambridge

HANSOn Sunday, Sept. 28 the fifth annual Tour de Hans will be hosted by the Whistle Bear Golf Club in Cambridge, Ont. It will be an event that is a part of the Kitchener-Waterloo Octoberfest. There will be two rides that tour through the Kitchener-Waterloo area; a 100-km loop for cyclists with an OCA licence and a 50-km event for those looking to do a shorter, less-pirited ride.

Both distances will serve as a race where there will be both a men’s and women’s winner. A winner for the overall will be awarded for both distances while winners for the masters (older than 50) age category will also be awarded.

The 100-km ride will begin in Cambridge, head west toward New Dundee, before heading south through Plattsville and onward to Paris before heading north east back to Cambridge to complete the loop. The 50-km loop will also head west before heading south and looping back to the Pinehurst Lake Conversation Area before coming back towards Cambridge.

Full information and technical guides can be found at the Tour de Hans. The 2012 Canadian national road champion Ryan Roth of Silber Pro Cycling will also be in attendance as a guest of honour. It’s a chance for many to ride and meet one of Canada’s top professional cyclists.
