2014 Absa Cape Epic: Stage 5

Roel Paulissen and Riccardo Chiarini of Torpado Factory won the fifth stage of the 2014 Absa Cape Epic. The 115-km stage started near Greyton, South Africa and finished at Elgin. Robert Mennen and Kristian Hynek of Topeak-Ergon Racing kept their hold on the GC lead. The powerful women’s team of Ariane Kleinhans and Annika Langvad of RECM 2 won the stage in their category and retained their GC lead. Canadian Nadia Akkerhuis and her partner Jean van Zyl moved up two spots in the mixed-field GC to 36th.
