Watch: What Specialized can’t say about its new women’s saddle

The company is really excited about the new seat, but having trouble finding the right words

Specialized Mimic women's saddle

Specialized really wants to tell you about it’s new Women’s Power Saddle with Mimic, but the company is having trouble finding the right words.

Gravel and road racer Alison Tetrick does her best to introduce the new women’s specific saddle, but keeps getting caught out by the censors. Watch for yourself and see how hard it can be to talk about certain parts of women’s cycling.

Annika Langvad, 2016 cross country mountain bike world champion, is more vocal in her support of the new women’s saddle. The Danish rider, who also finished the recent UCI road world championships in Innsbruck-Tirol, Austria, helped with the development of the Mimic.

Specialized designed the saddle to help relieve pain and even numbness that can result when a saddle puts pressure on the wrong parts of a riders more sensitive soft tissue.
