The Tour de France starts July 1 and all eyes will be on Astana Qazaqstan’s Mark Cavendish to see if he breaks the all-time record for stage wins. He will be riding on a special edition Tour de France Willier Filante SLR.

With Corima hoops, and a special white, yellow and black paintjob, the ride looks very fast.

The first few days of this year’s Tour in Spain are a bit hilly, so fans may need to wait a while to see if he smashes the number of wins he currently has.

Tied with the great Eddy Merckx at 34 wins a piece, Cav has one last shot to reach 35.

In 2022, fans were outraged when Soudal Quick-Step chose Fabio Jakobsen over the Manx Missile for its designated sprinter.

The former world champion announced at the Giro d’Italia that 2023 would be his final year of racing as a professional cyclist.
