EF Pro Cycling put out a somewhat vague press release, announcing it will be creating a new women’s professional team.

“EF Pro Cycling will step up our commitment to the professional women’s peloton in 2024 and beyond,” the statement read. “Starting next season, EF Pro Cycling will own and manage a professional women’s team, racing under the banner of EF Education-Cannondale. The new team marks another important chapter in the long-running partnership between EF and Cannondale.”

Former Olympian Linda Jackson started the EF Education–TIBCO–SVB in 2004. Back then, it was simply TIBCO, and had a budget of just $5,000. The Canadian confirmed to Cyclingnews.com that both TIBCO and SVB will not be renewing with the team for 2024, and that she would be looking for sponsors.

It’s unclear if Jackson will be linked to the new team, or what riders from the current team would migrate over.

“United around an aligned mission and values, EF Pro Cycling and Cannondale are focused on building the best team in the sport— one that competes with character, wins races, and inspires more women to ride,” the statement continued, “Longstanding EF Pro Cycling partners Rapha, POC, and Wahoo will also join in their support of the team.”
