A week after an impressive ride into the top-10 at the world championships it was announced that Joëlle Numainville would join Cyclance Pro Cycling for 2017. The switch will allow Numainville to focus on continue to pursue her academics and to target more races in the U.S. which are some of her favourites on the calendar.

The team was in Cambrils, Spain for their second training camp ahead of the coming season. The first camp took place in early November in California where new riders had a chance to meet the staff and other rides. The January camp was more training specific getting the team primed for the new season.

Already early in 2017 the team has some successes with new singing Kirsten Wild taking two victories and the team accumulating a total of four podiums at the Santos Women’s Tour Jan. 14 to 17.

“We did some good efforts to get to know each other on and off the bike and it paid of” explains Wild about the role the second team training camp played to her successes in Australia. “The atmosphere is amazing and I’m looking forward to do more races together and I am sure if we keep going like this we get some nice results and more important: we will have a lot of fun and that makes all the hard work worth it!”

Manel Lacambra, director sportif reflected on the camp. “I am really proud of the work the women have done at home and at the training camp to start the season strong. We always have fun, laugh, and get along great. But when it is time to race, everyone is professional and ready to get the job done.”
