Off-leash dog causes crash in Tour de France peloton

Yves Lampaert is urging spectators to keep their dogs at home after a canine caused a crash during Stage 12 of the Tour de France. Both he and Steven Kruijswijk of Team Jumbo Visma fell hard after a dog ran into the pack. Both riders managed to continue the race, but it’s another unfortunate example of some spectators creating unsafe conditions for cyclists.
The poor puppy was excited by the riders riding by, then gets confused and scared as the cyclists swarm him. Thankfully only two riders fell and with minor injuries, but one wonders how the poor doggo felt afterwards, and if it was traumautized by the event.
You can watch the incident below.
