A GPS, waterproofing and optical heart-rate make the smartwatch perfect for reaching your fitness goals

Polar M600

Bike head units aren’t ideal for everyone, especially if you want to use your devices for multiple sports or just want to continue to track your activity off the bike. A watch provides a sensible and stylish solution for cyclists who either want a durable, multi-use activity tracker or just to compliment the measurements your computer headset tracks. With Google’s Android Wear smartwatch platform, optical heart rate monitoring technology, integrated GPS, 24/7 activity tracking and Polar Smart Coaching features via the Polar Flow app, the Polar M600 provides a stylish platform to keep track of your training and have an accessory you can enjoy off the bike. The M600 can help you stay connected to your busy schedule and live an active lifestyle.

Using a wrist-based heart rate measurement via a 6-LED sensor, the watch provides accurate and direct heart rate without the need of a strap. Additionally, with a waterproof design you can rely on the watch in all conditions whether for you post ride swim or if your caught out in sub-optimal conditions. A casual accessory that has a sleek look with a 1.3-inch colour touch display features a single button for quick and easy control. The battery will last over 48-hours when the watch is connected to an Android device. Held in place by a soft silicone wrist band that is available in white, black or if you can wait in the new red colour available later this year.

“Polar is known for bringing smarts into sports,” says Marco Suvilaakso, Polar’s chief strategy officer. “Polar created the first heart rate monitor, the first activity tracker and now we’re the first true sports wearables company to announce a smartwatch truly made for sports. Powered by Android Wear, Polar M600 offers our customers countless opportunities to customize their smartwatch and still rely on the unique Polar sports wearable experience that is at its core.”

Training and insight into your daily activities is not where the watches capabilities end. Android Wear voice control, custom watch faces, calendar notification and the ability to read and respond to texts make the watch a device that will help you stay connected. Users can check their social media and access over 4,000 third party apps with Google Play on the watch.

Polar Flow allows activity, heart rate training and sleep details to be tracked all helping users make fitness part of their lifestyle while balancing a busy schedule on and off the bike. The Polar M600 is available for $400.
