Training takes commitment, but it also requires proper fuelling. In this video, Andrew Randell speaks with Lowell Greib, an internationally certified sports nutritionist, biochemist and medical expert. He is the owner of The SportLab, a clinic that helps athletes with their sport nutrition and sport therapy. Greib has worked with many cyclists, including Randell.

In this video, Randell and Greib discuss what you need to develop an effective fuelling strategy, which many cyclists don’t make a priority. Both Randell and Greib stress that a fuelling plan is a fundamental part of your training plan. A common misconception among riders is that under-eating during training rides is a good way to lose weight. This idea could not be further from the truth, as food in and around training is critical for maintaining and building strength and power.

Randell says he became a much better rider once he understood and implemented his customized fuelling plan. This video will help you to understand the fundamentals.

If you have any questions, remember you can always drop Randell an email at ARcoaching@gmail.com. And you can find out more about what Lowell does at the The SportLab.
